Do Christians judge others?

I had an interesting conversation with a friend, which began with a discussion about the bible’s view on gender reassignment surgery. I was cautioned that we should not judge others because we do not know their circumstances. In this case, it was argued that gender identity may not be a matter of choice.  I believe the cautioning was warranted. It reminded me of something CS Lewis wrote, that it is up to God to judge others because only He knows their circumstances. However, I was prompted to prod a little further. “What about homosexuals?” I asked. The bible teaches that men should not lie with other men, that it is an abomination. Homosexuality is a sin. Although some sins are not as apparent as others, all Christians are held to the same standard – one of repentance. While it is not our place to judge, we should hold each other accountable, and this should not be confused with forming judgment.
