I am disappointed – disappointed in myself.\u00a0 We are so corrupt and I have contributed to the problem.\u00a0 In a family devotional today, we were talking about sowing seeds.\u00a0 Sow to the flesh and you reap corruption.\u00a0 Sow to the spirit and you reap eternal life.\u00a0 I have sown to the flesh.\u00a0 When I refer to the sins of the world, I am not excluding myself.\u00a0 I have been part of the problem.\u00a0 I am a sinner and I have promoted sin.\u00a0 And I am ashamed.\u00a0 I have known of the Lord since I can remember.\u00a0 I am of Christian origin.\u00a0 But somewhere, in my youth, I started to think that Christianity was unpopular.\u00a0 I turned away from my faith to do the things of the flesh.\u00a0 And, it was by my own choice.\u00a0 Jesus says that none can pluck you from\u00a0His hand.\u00a0 He never said that we cannot depart from Him, and years ago, I did.\u00a0 I have been lukewarm at best.\u00a0 I wish that I could say otherwise.\u00a0 But when I look at the sins of the world, I blame myself for it being the way that it is.\u00a0 I do not judge others because I know that I am, that I have been, an awful person.\u00a0 I have been unfaithful to God – the God who has sacrificed His only son so that I could escape a fate that I so deserve.\u00a0 Jesus died for my sins.\u00a0 He took upon Himself my sins, my punishment.\u00a0 And how have I responded?\u00a0 By turning away from Him.\u00a0 But God is an amazing God, full of love and grace.\u00a0 He wants me to come back\u00a0into the fold.\u00a0 I so desperately want to please God but not just me.\u00a0 I want others to please God.\u00a0 I want a revival.\u00a0 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth, we do not live out our faith.\u00a0 I look around and what do I see?\u00a0 I see a lack of fellowship with God.\u00a0 I see a sinful world.\u00a0 How can we love God and abide in sin?\u00a0 This makes me so distraught.\u00a0 I have so little faith that we can have a revival, a true revival, and live lives that are evidence of our love for God.\u00a0 My heart breaks.\u00a0 But God is bigger than all this.\u00a0 Not our will but His will be done.\u00a0 God can cause a great revival.\u00a0 He can turn us away from our wrongdoings.\u00a0 He can\u00a0turn the darkness\u00a0into light.\u00a0 I pray that God changes the hearts of men, that we will turn away from our wicked ways and turn our face towards God.\u00a0 I want to see a great revival.\u00a0 How about you?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
